Dining seats and family-room chairs take concentrated sitting pressure, edge friction and frequent spills. A tighter woven chenille gives these flat or lightly curved panels more dimensional stability, while a water-repellent finish buys time to blot a spill before it reaches the padding. Abrasion data should be reviewed with pilling, seam movement, colorfastness and the approved cleaning method; one rub-count number does not describe the whole upholstery system.
Curved backs benefit from controlled stretch and pile
Warp-knitted honeycomb can conform to shaped backs and improves airflow, while velour follows soft curves and provides a smooth pile. Deep buttons, tight inside corners and small seat radii require bulk, recovery and seam appearance checks on a sample panel. Consistent pile direction and centered two-tone or jacquard motifs allow adjacent chairs to read as one set.

Build pattern and pile allowances into the layout
Two-tone grids, jacquards and velour cannot always be rotated to fill empty spaces. Keep motif direction, stripe alignment and pile direction consistent across every visible panel. Include the full pattern repeat at matching seams, allow for flaws and test cuts, and keep all chairs in one set within the same approved color lot. A full panel layout provides a better order quantity than a generic chair-yardage chart.

Bulk orders are typically made to order with a 1,000 m (1,093.6 yd) MOQ per color and approximately 20–25 days of production after approval. Record the fabric name, color standard, width, weight, finish, roll quantity, packaging, inspection terms and shipping basis on the purchase order.

A material swatch is free for new buyers; courier cost is paid in advance and can be credited under the agreed order policy.
Knitted dyeing lab dips are prepared in 2–4 days; printed strike-offs take about 3–7 days after artwork approval.
Standard MOQ is 1,000 m (1,093.6 yd) per color. Final price is quoted by construction, finish, color count and order quantity.
Production normally takes 20–25 days after color, finish, quantity and payment terms are approved.
Orders can ship from Shanghai or Ningbo by sea freight, air freight or express. FOB, CIF and DDP can be quoted for supported destinations.

Can I use these fabrics on both chair seats and backs?
Yes. Use the tighter woven chenille options for flat seat panels and the stretch honeycomb or warp-knitted velour where controlled conformity helps on curved backs. Approve the exact fabric on a sample chair before a production run.
How do I estimate fabric quantity for a chair?
Measure every seat, back, arm, boxing and cushion panel at its widest points. Lay the pieces within the selected 142–150 cm (55.9–59.1 in) fabric width, then add allowance for seams, staple pull, pattern repeat, pile direction and cutting defects.
Does waterproof chenille make a chair completely waterproof?
No. The finish helps liquid remain on the fabric surface long enough for prompt blotting, but seams, needle holes, edges, backing and the chair interior still affect water penetration. Test the complete upholstered assembly for the intended spill exposure.
How should I clean fixed chair upholstery?
Remove dry soil with a soft vacuum attachment and blot fresh spills without rubbing. Use only the cleaner and method approved for the selected finish, and test it on a hidden area because chenille, velour, backing and waterproof treatments can respond differently.
Can you match a custom color or finish?
Yes. Send a Pantone reference or physical standard and specify the required construction, weight, backing and functional finish. Approve the lab dip or strike-off and a representative upholstered sample before bulk production.
